Simply Australia is going from strength to strength. Here we are at Issue 4 and we are thrilled that the interest in our magazine is continuing to grow. Thanks to everone for your wonderful support.
As well as articles by a number of our regular excellent writers, we have a number of new contributors in this issue. There is a fascinating look at the antics of magpies by Joy Hildebrand from Victoria. A reading is included by poet Max Merckenschlager of his award winning verse, Mary. Respected folk collector Chris Woodland has joined us with two very interesting articles and we have some original photography by Lynne Shandley and Grant Maizels.
Make sure you visit our resource page as we have introduced our first online products. One is a re-release of the Rambleers recordings on Wattle held in the Nartional Library of Australia and there is also a CD by Eileen McCoy.
Another first for this issue is the introduction of primary sources. We aim to build a virtual library of resources including complete e-books but for now we start with A.B. Paterson's short story, His Masterpiece, which first appeared in The Bulletin on 4 April, 1891.
Another prime source we are thrilled to have online is an interview with the once mysterious Mr Eternity, Arthur Stace, recorded in 1964.
Finally, talking of mysteries, check out Warren Fahey's article and see if you can add some bits and pieces to his collecting swag and also our Collection box is back with a question about Cobb and Co's rival coachline on the Solfala to Bathurst run.
Keep the articles and letters coming in!
